Additional Qualifications and Admission Criteria for Round 1: Portfolio (TCAS 1/1 & TCAS 1/2), TCAS Application System Faculty of Science, Mahidol University Academic Year 2026

Programs offered for admission:

  1. Bachelor of Science Program in Actuarial Science (International Program

  2. Bachelor of Science Program in Industrial Mathematics and Data Science
    (International Program)

Tuition and university fees for the entire 4-year duration of study: 525,000 THB
(Flat rate: 75,000 THB/semester)

Number of offers: 30 students/program

General qualifications

        Applicants must fulfill the requirements and qualifications specified in the Mahidol

University Announcement entitled “Admission Application for Portfolio, the First Round of

TCAS (TCAS 1/1 and TCAS 1/2), Bachelor’s Degree Program, Mahidol University, Academic

Year 2026”.

Additional qualifications

  1. Currently studying in the final term of Mathayom Suksa 6 under the Thai Basic Education Core Curriculum, or

  2. Currently studying in an international school or a foreign high school program, or an equivalent qualification accredited by the Ministry of Education, Thailand

  3. If applicants have any of the following additional qualifications, they will receive special consideration.

3.1  Achieved English proficiency test scores meeting Mahidol University standards, taken within the past 2 years, such as TOEIC 600 / MU-ELT 84 / TOEFL iBT 64 / IELTS 5.0.

3.2  Received academic awards, special talent awards, or recognition for community service at the regional or national level during high school.

3.3  Received awards in regional or national level science project competitions during high school.

Specific Qualifications

  1. Participated in the Thailand Olympiad in Informatics, Science Olympiad camps (POSN), or other equivalent national-level academic camps; or

  2. Received awards for mathematics or computer science projects at the school level or higher; or

  3. Achieved international professional examination results such as Exam-P or Exam-FM.

Health Qualifications

Applicants must be in good health, physically and mentally fit, and free from diseases, medical conditions, or disabilities that could obstruct their studies.

Required Documents for Application

  1. Digital Photograph: A recent individual photo taken within the last 6 months, facing forward, without a hat or sunglasses, and wearing a neat school uniform. The background should be white or blue. Size: 1.5 × 2 inches, with the face occupying approximately 80% of the photo. File format: .pdf or .jpg; width 180–500 px, height 200–600 px; maximum file size 240 KB.

  2. Copy of National ID Card (front side only): Print on A4 paper, sign to certify as a true copy, and scan as .pdf or .jpg (max file size 2 MB).

          * If the name or surname on the ID card differs from the academic transcript, include the official name change document in the same file.

  1. Copy of Household Registration: Print on A4 paper, sign to certify as a true copy, and scan as .pdf or .jpg (maximum file size 2 MB).

  2. Copy of Academic Transcript (Mathayom Suksa 4–5): Issued and stamped by the school, scanned as .pdf or .jpg (both sides if applicable), maximum file size 2 MB.

  3. Portfolio: Maximum 10 A4 pages (excluding cover, no preface required), consisting of:

    • Personal background (maximum 1 page)

    • Statement of purpose (self-introduction and study goals)

    • Letter of Recommendation form school

    • English proficiency test results (if any)

    • Certificates of academic achievements, special skills, or awards from competitions, as specified in the additional qualifications (maximum 2 certificates per page)

 

Interview Information         

  1. There is no fee for the admission interview or qualification examination.
