Current Research Interest
Operations Research
Wasakorn’s research interests are optimization techniques to tackle constrained combinatorial problems, particularly to develop decision support systems for transportation problem. This includes optimisation techniques such as exact methods, heuristic methods and hybrid methods.
His research focuses on applying these optimization techniques to the large-scale real-world problem such as home healthcare management problem, vehicle routing problem, workforce scheduling problem, long-term planning problem, etc. He also has collaborations with industries in Thailand.
Data Science
Wasakorn also has research interest in data science. This includes pre-processing techniques dealing with imbalanced data, applying integration techniques such as statistics, computer science, and mathematics for finding new knowledge.
