No, actuaries are the “brain” in the operation of an insurance company. They are not involved in the marketing or direct sales of insurance products.

You may attend “Road to Actuary”, an annual event organized by our current students. You can also find more information here.

Actuary is a global career, and a highly skilled actuary is usually certified by an international institution. To earn such credentials, practitioners must pass a series of professional examinations set by that institution.
Students in the Actuarial Science program at Mahidol University with satisfactory academic performance will automatically be waived of several exams from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA), United Kingdom, and the Society of Actuaries (SOA), USA. Students who choose to continue their studies at Curtin University will instead be waived of several exams from the Actuaries Institute, Australia.

This program is a part of the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, and not MUIC. All classes will be held at Phayathai campus.

All official communication in the program will be conducted in English.

Not necessary. However, a satisfactory TOEFL or IELTS score can be used to waive the English admission exam. For more information, please visit the Admissions page.

Approximately 50,000 THB per semester. This will be adjusted to 75,000 THB for the students enrolling in 2023 or after.

Yes, some applicants are offered a scholarship as early as after the admission interview. Several external scholarships are also available to students in the program with strong leadership and academic performance, some of which even cover the tuition and expenses at Curtin University.
