Abstract:

Nonlinear problems are often encountered in science and engineering. These problems are difficult to solve due to their complex equations and lack of closed-form solutions. In this talk, the basic concepts of nonlinear problems and various techniques for solving optimization and related problems will be discussed. The convergence theory of these methods will also be discussed to provide insights into the behavior of these methods. The applications of some methods of interest in solving nonlinear problems in different real-world problems such as signal and image recovery will be discussed, emphasizing the importance of nonlinear modeling in understanding complex phenomena. In addition, current research directions in the field, such as the use of machine learning techniques for solving nonlinear problems will be highlighted.
