Coronary artery disease (CAD) is a leading cause of death globally, prompting innovative treatment approaches combining biotechnology and tissue engineering. Magnetic therapy is increasingly used to prevent CAD and myocardial infarction, necessitating a deeper understanding of its impact on blood flow. A recent study proposes a novel three-dimensional model integrating magnetic therapy effects on pulsatile magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) blood flow in coronary arteries with stenosis. The study employs the Carreau model to account for blood viscosity variations with temperature and Arrhenius activation energy. Results suggest that magnetic fields can modulate blood flow and temperature distribution, enhancing blood temperature and reducing viscosity, thus increasing blood speed. However, the model has limitations such as excluding artery components and neglecting the magnetic field’s impact on the inner arterial layer. Despite these flaws, the model provides valuable insights into blood flow dynamics and temperature distribution in coronary arteries with stenosis. Future research should address these limitations by incorporating arterial wall components, exploring blood flow through the inner arterial layer, and analyzing the effects of magnetic field intensity on blood flow comprehensively.
